I get treated differently by all kinds of people for numerous reasons.
Because I like to build things and enjoy real, physical labor (play in the dirt, saw, paint, hammer, drill) men think I'm cool and women think- "What ya trying to do, make us LOOK bad"
Some because I am unaffected by social stratas-it drives people mad that I don't give a hoot about what's going on and I'm not a big gossip, therefore I'm not considered "fun" by some.
Others because my Hubby's family has standing and they think by virtue of marriage it should carry over-see above.
I have been called a "flower child" as recently as a year+ ago.
I am intelligent, outgoing, sarcastic and MOST would say funny.
It can put people off, but it's nothing compared to being known as a straight shooter-which I am.
I am known as a highly creative person, so I get a lot of requests
and for my opinion or ideas.
I too look younger than my age so that is agravating to many women. Plus I'm tall, so my weight isn't TOO much of a problem.
HA ha, one more-I have a low voice (think Lauren Bacall) so older people LOVE to talk to me-I'm in their hearing range.
Can ya tell I've got more male friends than female???
