This is a good thread. I think that I get treated differently because . . . .
1. I am attractive. I'm not trying to be conceited but I think that I am good looking and most men seem to agree. Because of that, I get doors held open for me, seats given up for me on public transportation, and other little things like that. Almost everyday, somebody does something nice for me that I know they don't have to do.
2. I wear expensive clothing. I tend to wear very nice clothing and carry designer handbags. People always think that I am rich and that everything that I even touch cost hundreds of dollars. Most of my clothes were bought on sale and extremely marked down. Can we say 70% off?
3. I look young. I can still pass for a high school student or maybe even younger. One day, I was shopping and wrote a check for my things. The cashier had to call it in for confirmation because it was an out of state check. My father and I have a joint checking account so he can easily depost money into my account. This cashier asked me if I was old enough to be writing checks and if I had permission to use the checks. Isn't that my name on them right there?????
