Yes.. the SOuthern Regional COnference was exceptional!
From Soror Boyd's theme address (which will be available soon on tape!) to the Social Action Luncheon with Soror Sandra Jaribu Hill reminding us that "things haven't changed that much" to the closing banquet where much love was shared with the Regional Director and Representative, Sorors Walker and Tindall... it was great.
I even got to se my linesister of 24 years ago and her Delta daughter... and two of my big sisters and the chapter adviser...I, too, was very proud of my initiating chapter sorors (Delta Pi at Jackson State)... they also ran errands for us while we celebrated the birthday of the Southwest Regional Director (Cynthia Butler Blucher) in Soror Boyd's suite after the closing banquet.
I'm glad your linesister enjoyed my workshop... but I regret that she didn't ask to take a picture... Those who I did meet for the first time were amazed that my bark is is much worse than my bite (haha).
I guess it was kinda hard to miss me... I think I was the official photographer BY DEFAULT... and I got some great shots for the national website... stay tuned.
Those who are from FAMU will be happy to know that the Southern Region has ANOTHER Beta Alpha soror as Regional Representative - Soror Sharmen Sharelle Dailey (Spring 2000). She brought ME luck in the casino Wednesday night (screamed for me when I won and was too amazed to do so - HAHA) and then she won for Regional Rep on Saturday!
I REMAIN in awe...

I am truly a different person after the Southern Regional Conference this past weekend.
My chapter (Iota-Pi Citywide/ Miami, Fl) was asked to escort the Executive Board during the conference. I had the honor of escorting 1st National Vice President- Esteemed Soror Rice for 3 days. It was an experience I will never forget. I can't even begin to describe the feeling.
One of my prophytes escorted National President- Esteemed Soror Boyd. She still thinks she was dreaming.
If you were there, let me know how it felt. Especially those sorors who were attending their first DST conference or convention.
Also, Let me know if you saw my chapter. We were the group of young ladies who were always walking in, late, after the processions. I was the short one with glasses We also strolled in the stroll competition. We were the small chapter with the classy stroll
Also, a big OO-OOP to the sorors of Jackson State University, if there are any on Greekchat. They were also escorting sorors on the executive committees. You ladies represented Mississippi really well.
And, I saw you BeeJae. My LS attended your website workshop. She found it to be very informative. We were gonna take a pic with you. But, we were both afraid to ask.
Am I the only soror still in awe of regional conference experience?
Let me know
