ok, so more "oklahoma!" drama....
last night at rehearsal, our horrible choreographer was a no-show. i don't know if she was sick or what, but she wasn't there. ok, well....the choreography thus far has SUCKED....this is a small town community theatre, we are extrememly limited on guys as well as any chick dancers with talent. this, however, has not stopped ol' bia from making up this random choreography that is on a somewhat difficult level had you not had any dance experience. ya know? plus it just looks like poop anyway, but whatever.
SO, last nite, me and my sister (who is ado annie in the show) decide that we can offer our two cents b/c the show opens on FRIDAY and we are STILL
LEARNING chor. when we should just be polishing it all. we have 12 yrs dance experience, so he decided to let us work this one part that was rough in a song. we did a lil tweeking (notice: we did NOT make them learn anything NEW, we just tweeked), made things smoother, and it looks SO MUCH BETTER and took an 1/8 of the time it took her to come up with this conglomoration of POOP. well....
tonite she was there. saw what was done, and threw a fit. also please remember that our director initially fired her wks ago for her attitude, etc (and when one of our lead's was injured--he had to have SURGERY to repair some tendons in his arm--all she said was, "well now we'll just try harder next time, won't we"...
), but the director took her back b/c she asked to just finish it up, she'd be better, blah blah. she's been no better, and the show is JUST NOW coming along that me and my sister have kinda taken charge. we ended up finishing up
all the numbers that have been shakey for forever and everyone is pleased....everyone but her. i did hear, however, that she is not allowed to do anything else at this theatre ever again....and everyone thinks that me and my sister are fabulous!
but she's a dirty skank and i don't care about her hissy fit.....it looks better and she's just mad she realized she sucks.
