I can see your point. While I really have fallen off of the watching BET horse, I do see that the programming lacks depth. A majority of the programming is solely for music videos and who's who in music but those are the programs that capture the audience's attention (read: young America).

I think BET is doing a disservice to the youth because they are glamorizing a lifestyle that many of the audience can only dream of obtaining. They are not showing our young people that yes you can be a productive member of society without being a rapper, singer, or a baller. However, BET is not the only glamorizing the GOOD LIFE. IT is up to parents to govern what their children can and cannot watch on TV.
