On the one hand, the breaks show that ABC has faith in the show and doesn't want to see it get clobbered in the ratings. During Sweeps, a lot of ratings grabbing specials air on Sunday nights - the Superbowl, various awards shows, etc. I'd rather that they take a break than move the show all over the schedule on different nights.
OTOH, the breaks do make it harder to keep up. Thank goodness for the recaps at TWoP!
