I'm starting to think that my hair isn't the right texture for this type of look, but I've seen people with short hair as well as longer hair who have achieved this look and their hair seems to be just about the same texture as mine.

Does anyone know what I can use on my hair? It's the summer and I want do something so I don't have to spend so much time on my hair.
Black folks have so many different types of hair.. it may be that your hair just isn't right for it. I had a class with a girl who wore her hair that way and it was cute and low-maintenance. She told me to wash and then condition with Mane 'N Tail, leave it in and let it air dry. My hair is well past my shoulders and takes forever to dry, so I'm chillin in my room waiting for this cute style to happen. Only mine ended up all nappy and matted looking.. I had to wash it all over again. I think it just wasn't meant for my hair.

On another random note. I usually hate washing my own hair at home cause it takes about 2-3 hours to dry/flat-iron/curl it. But I found this miracle stuff, I swear. It's Bone Strait blow-dry lotion, and it makes blow-drying faster and MUCH straighter. It only took about 20 minutes to straighten my hair as opposed to the usual hour and a half. Best of all, it comes in little packets that are only $.99. Just my style.
