Funny, you and your friends would get lot more time for being caught doing coke before a night out partying.

Also funny that involuntary manslaughter has less time attached to it than a hazing charge.

I wonder if Edith Davis reproaches herself for not giving her son enough self esteem not to put himself through physical torture of a prolonged and extremely violent nature just to have the approval of a group of guys. After all, he wasn't a kid, he was a young adult so should have known better.

Sometimes I wonder if being allowing yourself to be hazed to death qualifies you for a Darwin Award. We have so few remaining ways to weed out the gene pool.

As far as the boys that did this: They didn't haze, they killed someone in basically a torture death through some sadistic out of control group think. Thats quite different from a pledge dying of an alcohol overdose at a party.

And to reiterate my fist point, they tortured a kid to death and got less time in jail than a user of recreational drugs.
