Cool

I am in a brand-new local at my university, and right now all of our members are founding sisters. Giving nicknames was kind of an important order of business, although some girls are still waiting for one because we don't want to force them...waiting for something fitting to dawn on us is important. Our president Rebecca's nickname is Reba. Our VP is Princess b/c of her mannerisms (the hair, the cell phone, the pocketbooks, the outfits...you just gotta know her), and mine is Cheerleader, b/c I kind of adopted a lot of the PR/Social Roles 'cuz I'm so extroverted. I think having your nickname embroidered on the sleeve of a sweatshirt is a great idea! I think that it's important that one's nickname is made up by their sisters for sorority reasons, but you should be as proud of your niche in the the sorority (signified by the fact that sisters took the time and consideration to give you a unique nickname) as you are of your Greek letters.
