Phi Sigma Sigma has I think 10 chapters here in Cali... I actually don't think there's one sorority that has a statewide popularity here in Cali... really ( and I've gone to school in both So Cal and Nor Cal) except to say that I think Alpha Phi has a very strong western presence ( IE the Pac 10 schools) but to say that they are more "popular" I think is an error. I think the reason that Tri Sigma and Phi Mu probably don't have many chapters here in Cali is because they have a strong base in the south and they are able to have more help from alum in those areas to take care of all the work it takes to expand, simple as that, it's not like us cali people just decided we dont' want Phi Mu in our state... actually Tri Sigma had a chapter on my campus that closed about three years ago...
