Just took a quick sweep of the media that Drudge said would break the story.

Nothing.

And this is the kind of story that newspapers LOVE to give lots of pages to in their Sunday editions.

So, I suppose it's possible that "they" are waiting until Kerry wraps up the nomination and will then "break" the story in order to discredit Kerry and throw the Democrats into turmoil.

But wait, does that mean that the "liberal" media is in bed with the Republicans and are willing to sit on this scoop. Or is someone in the Dean (or other) camp, or the Republican hiding the proof until a later time?

Come on.

If the story hasn't been published yet, it's because the news organizations have no proof -- or at least haven't found enough yet. News organizations aren't good at holding this kind of story. They're too afraid someone else will find and publish it.

As I recall, one of the early Drudge reports says that a former campaign worker has been "shopping" this story around for months.

It isn't impossible that this is true. But I'm not putting any faith into it until I see some proof, reported by a reputable news organization. Even Fox.
