Gold99Gyrl, I understand what you're saying and I respect the fact that you (along with others) actually like DC. MY point is that SOME things don't seem to be right or fair with this group. When you are in a managerial position, you are supposed to be OBJECTIVE (even if your child, brother, sister, etc.) is a part of that group. You mean to tell me that you think that Beyonce's father is JUSTIFIED in making HIS DAUGHTER the main attraction of this group when the others have talent that is as good as or maybe even better than hers? I don't see how ANYONE can justify that.
Now the group IS talented. But what I'm saying is that Beyonce' Knowles is only ONE-THIRD of that talent. Who's to say that by rightly dividing the spotlight amongst the group that they wouldn't have even MORE record sales (and FANS for that matter).
I've watched a lot of groups come and go. And it would be understandable if Beyonce' was the ONLY one in this group that could blow. But from what I hear, Michelle and Kelly can blow just as good as Beyonce' can.
Now about these MILLIONS that this group is making. It's funny that MOST of those MILLIONS is going to the KNOWLES family. Beyonce' gets her cut. Her father gets HIS cut. And her mother gets HER cut. Now you tell me if THAT don't sound fishy.
From what I know, Kelly actually is NOT related to Beyonce' at all (I don't know if this is true, but I DO recall hearing that). And of course, they (Michelle and Kelly) may be content in their place RIGHT NOW. But what happens when they decide that they want to expand their horizons? Most groups get along just fine in the BEGINNING. However, they END UP parting because SOMEONE didn't want to give up CONTROL. And that is what THIS is all about. It's like Beyonce' is being catered to with no regards for her fellow group members. The reason that the first two members left was because they wanted to bring in their OWN MANAGEMENT and Beyonce's father was not with that. What's up with that? What was going on so that these girls felt that they needed someone else to represent them?
Believe me, I didn't arrive at my impressions about DC over night. This opinion was made after hearing as much about the situation as possible.
REALLY, I am not hating on this group. I'm all about African-Americans (particularly women) making it big. But...I'm also about FAIRNESS, INTEGRITY, HONESTY, SELFLESSNESS, AND COHESION.
