(Feb. 10, 2004) Musical Mates: Guess who is dating? Sources say the latest musical pair is none other than rapper Nelly and singer (using that word loosely) Ashanti. Apparently the couple has been quietly courting for almost four months, and has been spotted cuddling up at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where they frequently stay together in the presidential suite. My sources also spotted the couple chowing down recently at, where else but, Mr. Chow’s in Beverly Hills. Let’s see where this romance goes.
* I’m also told that Nelly’s St. Lunatic cohort Murphy Lee has found a musical mate of his own. Sources tell me that Murphy is dating singer/actress Christina Milian. Apparently, Christina is in negotiations with Nelly’s record label Fo’ Real Records, and that’s how she connected with the St. Louis bred rapper.
* Despite what the rumor mill says, there was no chemistry when rapper Juvenile when out on a blind date with Bad Boy’s Da Band member Babs as a part of a King magazine story. While the hip-hop duo enjoyed puffing on some weed together after the interview, it was certainly not a love connection. Juvenile currently has a girlfriend, who was a little ticked off by the date, and only plans to maintain a friendship with Babs.
