The "Michigan Daily" reports that the IFC and Panhellenic officers, after three weeks of discussion and planning, are making public apologies for alcohol abuse at their recent retreat. (Only one person was hospitalized.)

Interestingly, although the presidents of the 10 Panhellenic sororities voted an expression of "no confidence" in Panhellenic due to the retreat incident, those on Panhellenic "decided not to resign."
I have to admit I found the story hilarious. Chalk it up to a personality flaw of mine if you wish, but statements about how people have "learned from the experience" and how they are writing personal statements about what Greek life means to them don't quite cut it for me.
However, I also admit I don't know the full details, or whether there will be any significant fallout from this incident, so I'm not going to get overly worked up about it. Except to say
