With Kerry this far "ahead" this early in the season, I think the Democrats will have pleanty of time to "unite," and with confidence apparantely slipping and potential impending erosions within the GOP regarding budgets, deficits, etc., no to mention whatever the outcome of the George W. National Guard question, this could be a good old fashioned barn burner in November.
What's interesting to me is that six months ago I wouldn't have given any Democrat a ghost of a chance.

At the end of 1991 and the beginning of 1992, it seemed unlikely that a Democrat had a chance to win the Presidency against George H.W. Bush. The tide turned in mid 1992, and Clinton won. I think that there is a high possibility of history repeating itself. Like father, like son.
Then again nine months is a long time.
