Thank goodness she got rid of Lanny. Could you just picture her living on a ranch and going out to watch pretend horse sex while being reminded that it is her responsibility to go to church and be submissive to her husband? I don't get why they were all just assuming that Meredith would move there -- why wouldn't Lanny move to LA or wherever Meredith will want to live when this is all over?
Growing up in that environment, it's likely that Lanny has very traditional ideas of how men and women should behave in relationships, and Meredith probably does not share those views, at least not to that extent. As much as she seemed smitten with Lanny, it's good that she realized just how incompatible their lifestyles and backgrounds are. It would have never worked.
I like all of the remaining guys, but Ian is still my favorite -- although I have no idea who will get the final rose.
