Actually I'm a pretty safe and courteous driver. I let people in, I acknowledge when others let me in (yes, I wave using more than one finger
), I don't weave in and out of traffic or tailgate.
Maybe that's my problem... the average New York driver doesn't know what to do when confronted with someone polite. "She's letting me in? What's she up to?? I'd better flip her the bird as I speed past, just to be safe...."
