You might want to ask Neal Farmer, Former Region VII Director. He has a pretty good understanding of the incident and probabaly has/had the documentation you are seeking.

From what I was told, among other things, one of the incidents involved a pledge being placed in a metal dumpster while a gun was being fired. My recollection is kinda sketchy, but the gun blast affected his hearing to the point that he was disqualified from applying for a position with the FBI that he was seeking.
OK, thanx.

Not a fun thing to do. There is nothing in the risk management banning Guns, but it does talk about Ear Plugs for appropriate activities. (and even so putting a pledge in a dumpster isn't even close to an appropriate activity, of course)

If chapter members trained to help include the shooting sports Merit Badges in a Merit Badge University, then I don't see a problem with that though. My alma mater had a shooting range in a basement used by Army ROTC. My chapter used it for parties, large concrete floor, *very* little you could damage...

My general rule on Hazing is run pledging so that if at any time the school president and the editor of the school newspaper walk in, you're still cool.
