Yeah at Nebraska (in Lincoln, not Omaha where Hootie is at) the majority of senators are greek, and the Presidential candidates have all been Greek for a really long time. While there are some people who complain about the number of Greek candidates, i think the vast majority of GDI's just view ASUN as a waste.

The biggest reason it's so predominantly greek is because Greeks are the only ones who actually vote. The only other section of students that regularly vote is the kids in the Honors Program Dorm, but that's not enough to get someone who doesn't have the Greeks support elected.

The non-Greeks on the Senate got there b/c they joined the strongest Greek led party, and rode in on that name b/c when you have to choose 6 senators on the ballot and know only 3, it's difficult to just randomly pick the other three, so everyone votes down party lines.
