Organizations are allowed to set up booths in the library quad during the first few weeks of school. They are for recruitment purposes. A potential new member can approach the booth and ask any member there questions about the org... sign up for events... get a flyer... etc. Actually, setting up a table with chairs works the same too...
But we had ours made by an alumnae and some of the members of her bf's fraternity. We paint it every year or so. They can't be that hard. It's just a matter of where to keep it when recruitment is over.
And yes, you do have to tell student activities that you are setting up something cuz they assign spots.

Since we go to the same school BabyP... feel free to PM me anytime. I graduated and all... but I still know what goes on. (Our booth is blue with pink letters... probably with palm trees and stuff all over it...)
