I would hardly call asking the FCC to focus on cleaning up standard television AS A WHOLE and AT THE SAME TIME as something that doesn't make sense. What is the problem with doing a "clean sweep" so to speak right now since the FCC is going at this with "all guns drawn"?
If some folks are satisfied with a crumb, then that's them. It is this "a piece is betta than nothing" mentality that does nothing to further the cause of those of us who demand MORE from media outlets, production companies, etc.
ETA: Regarding MTV
Why are they acting like "risque" acts such as this never occurs on their channel?

The way they talk, you think halftime was sponsored by the Disney channel.
