Sisterfriend,
I have to disagree with you. Your not comparing apples and oranges, your comparing the same fruit. Have you been to Janet's concerts lately? I have and they can get pretty wild. Her Velvet Rope tour, she tied up people and pranced around them and on them in a sexual way. Did you see her HBO special where she was all over the young man and you can hear him saying "I'm so hard?" Have you seen her pictures where they get more and more sexier (remember Rolling Stone and her nipples were covered by her husband? Remember the video were she expose her nipple (but it was covered up by MTV)? Have you read her interviews? Remember the Buster video with her wearing the penis rings. I'm not suprised by what happened. Planned or unplanned it happened and now get over it. Young kids are not having boob nightmares. Masses of kids will not be looking for nipple rings. It happened, these things happen, now people are calling for federal investigations. IT WAS A BREAST PEOPLE, remember we breast feed our kids so at one time or another young children have seen a bare breast. This is why the rest of the world laughs at us because we take incidents like this and take them to the nth degree. Remember, people are still dying in Iraq. But no one is talking about the guy who streaked.
Just My Opinion!!!

Maybe you are missing my point. This was not a Janet Jackson concert, which again like Purple Rain, folx know what they are getting when they choose to attend the concert. This was a the Super Bowl, a football, that had Janet as part of the half-time entertainment like a band would entertain. You would not expect the cheerleaders or band members to expose their breasts or other inappropriate body parts.
So my point is, this is touted as a family activity and what happened was clearly not suitable for family entertainment. Yes, I feel parents should be angry that this happened--especially those parents who do monitor what their children watch on TV or which movies they attend.
By the way, they did not show the guy streaking on TV so I am sure that is why it did has not gotten as much play. But he has been arrested. And yes parents at the game with their children should be just as upset about that, although from what I understand he did not fully expose any sexual body parts because he had on a thong.
And no, I haven't been to any of Janet's concerts and if I had kids younger than 16, I would not allow them to attend either. But just chalk it up to my old fogieness.
