Something I find interesting that no one has mentioned yet is that ADPi/the Adelphean Society was originally a secret society. The members who founded PhiMu/the Philmothean (sp) society theoretically did not know about the Adelphean Society b/c it was secret... (this still ties over to today's rituals). So both groups supposedly were founded without direct knowledge of the membership of either group.
