CT4, 411, etc.

Regarding Spirit Concepts:

As I am celebrating my 10th year as a greek, one of the first places I went to in Columbus was Spirit Concepts.

As much as you may despise Bob, I gotta hand it to him: he does know how to secure GOOD 'nalia for the BGLOs. I will say this tho', the BGLOs nalia wasn't always in the back of the store. I remember when it used to be in the middle of the store, near the POS counter (point of sale). Back then ('93, '94), they had the lacquered paddles and those PHAT 2 feet long founders paddles (they discontinued those because according to them, the distributors was constantly late on filling orders--well, I have some business cards from the original distributor if you are interested, and they should be at AAHF next weekend--they were there last year).

As far as NPHC orgs stuff being in the back of the store, that IMHO is a weak argument, given that the nalia takes up about 1/4 of the store's space, and it may be a good marketing move, seeing that the flair of the 'nalia will draw customers toward the back of the store and to look at other items.

I bought my fraternity badge at SC, it cost an arm and a leg too. At least they GOT stuff for your orgs, and Gamma Sig. NO gear for APO, except an APO watch they have been trying to sell since '94 and is still in stock to this day, but the watch stopped running.

BTW, there used to be another GLO store called Ozz n Endz, but they closed down in 1996?, possibly b/c they couldn't compete with Spirit Concepts. ALSO, there was a Black bookstore located in the Newport building that sold some Black Greek nalia, as with Just Sweats, but they closed down in 1994 or '95 because the owners were laundering drug money. But you are right. SC got the monopoly on Greek 'nalia.

There is a Black bookstore I frequent called Black Art Plus, that got some TIGHT BGLO artwork. They used to sell GLO jackets--matter of fact, when I saw the AKA and Delta jackets in the store window (November/December '91) was what drew me in as a browser, long time customer.

CT4, 411, if the KAP/DST cabaret is not a private party, please give me some info on it: I would love to attend. 411, I will be sending you an email regarding the cabaret. I "missed" the Kappa sip last weekend; I was entertaining company from out of town.

Well, theres my $25
