I don't plan to buy anything on this unless it is needed (like new brakes) or for school. My sister worked for Discover for about 7 years. She keeps getting at me to get my credit report, I really should.

You should "try" to get a copy of your credit report once a year or at least once every other year. I say this because identity theft has been on the rise in recent years and the best way to make sure you aren't becoming a victim is to check out that report. Make sure there aren't accounts on it that you didn't open or that there aren't debts on there that you aren't responsible for.
Also make sure to watch for you statements each momth. Even if you don't receive one report it. It might have been lost in the mail but it also might have been stolen and your account # could be compromised.
