I ask because my grandma ingrained in me at an early age that lilies were the flowers of death and were bad luck. So if I saw a group with the lily as a symbol, it would kind of creep me out - there'd be no way I could have one in my house lol.
Anyone have a fear of any animal that's used by some group as a symbol? Would it have made you cut them during rush?

There was a post in the rush forum about some girl that cut Sigma Kappa because she was afraid of snakes. Apparently this group was really into the snake thing and had one in their house --

I have to admit that some of the crests (skull and bones, dagger) creep me out a bit. Tri Delta has a nice, nonthreatening crest and nice, nonthreatening symbols. Unless you listen to GeekyPenguin when she claims that we tie our pledges upside down from pine trees and poke them with tridents.
