Isn't "recruitment" in the next-to-the-last paragraph?
But yeah, the newfangled words were mostly absent. I blame our wild U.S. educational system; some selective universities may still be teaching students to use familiar English words when they write. The other possibility is that Penn students may feel that for close to forty thousand dollars a year for tuition, room and board they can call things whatever they damn well please.
