I understand the whole paddle thing - as one of the oldies around here, we did get paddles during Friendship Week (the ADPi version of pre-Initiation week). They were all decorated very nicely, but sooner or later, people will get a little crazy, and the next thing you know, someone gets whacked - usually in the face or head. At least, that was our experience...
