Okay I'm gonna attempt to answer your questions.
1. All the greeks parties that I've been to, I've never seen this happen. Usually the greeks here stroll to the same song organization wise. The Delta's in my area stroll to "To Be Real" but the chapter at my particular school also strolls to their own chapter song. And they do that stroll majority of the time. So if the chapter at the other school where to come to their party, they wouldn't get offended if the dj played "To Be Real". They'd just join in. Once they were at a stepshow at the other chapter's school and the Delta's there were announcing their week, so they played "To Be Real". The Delta's from my school joined along. I've seen nothing but love from frats/sorors from different chapters here in my area. Boy, talk about bro/sis hood. That's new for me. I would have been speechless.
2. I haven't heard of any of the other greeks here worrying about the lyrics when doing party strolls. I can imagine that this is more of a sorority thing. But may I ask a question? What's the difference from "Jane Doe" and XYZ strolling to say "Me So Horny" than Jane Doe herself dancing with "Billy Bob" to "Me So Horny" at so and so's party. Around these parts, people are identified by their greek affiliation. So it's never Jane Doe the person, it's Jane Doe the Delta. So then there is no difference. You will always been seen as a Delta or whatever. And what if you are not doing a stroll but you're just dancing but you're in para? That's too complicated. I think that if one commits him/herself to not stroll to songs with explicit lyrics, they should dance to these sort of songs even alone wearing para. Personally I don't have a problem with it, but that's me. Like I said I think it'd be more of a sorority thing. I mean I don't know too many songs that pejorative toward men.
