ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Shontaine was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Long Beach, California. She started writing short stories and poetry at the tender age of seven. She has written and directed plays for family and friends. She served a year with City Year Americorp, and utilized her writing skills there as well, writing and directing plays with the high school students she mentored.
