Our current drug policy is an historical accident, and need to be revisited in a non-moral setting.

In terms of the impact on the community, don't you think we could find other things for them to do????? How about shifting some DEA to "homeland security". The police will still have plenty of other crimes against people and property to deal w/. If the prisions can't stay occupied, then turn a few into historical museums, ala Alcatraz, and the rest into community colleges.
