You know my kids are going to have some crazy Norwegian names like Thor, Gunnar, Freya, or Astrid. Valkyrie and Valhalla anyone?

I have a close friend whose name is Astrid. Shes one of those people whose name fits her perfectly- she is extremly unique, so when people ask me and my friends to explain Astrid, we simply look at each other and say "Astrid is, well, Astrid like".
I actually like the name Astrid, and from what she tells me its actually quite common in Denmark (which she speaks, and we always try and convince her to talk more!!! it sounds soooo fun!!)
But since my name is fairly common, but cannot be found on stickers, pens, kid's bike license plates, etc I REFUSE to put my child through that. My child will be named something she can find everywhere.
