As I've posted elsewhere, while no one's perfect, there is something called honesty and integrity. He not only made sacred vows to God to "forsake all others", I'm sure he also made vows to God upon accepting his call to the ministry. Besides, if he was that unhappy in his marriage, then you leave before it gets to this point. No one can ever be too angry with someone who tells the truth from the beginning and before too much damage is done. Of course we all make mistakes, but at what point do we accept responsibility and stop using the "we're only human" excuse. Sometimes people make mistakes not really realizing what the consequences could be. But I think we all know the possible consequences of having sex (babies, diseases), lying (loss of trust), and extra-marrital affairs (family destruction, further dents into the institution of marriage).
To agree with c&c1913, the woman knew what she was doing as well. And she is just as wrong for that. And not that it's our business, but had the National Enquirer not mentioned that this was going to hit the stands, I doubt we'd know about this baby today. After all the baby is 20 months old.
