Agree with you 100%, but one correction needs to be made:
Ahem... there is NO such language as Mexican - it's Spanish with a Mexican accent/dialect!

I speak fluent Spanish (with a Venezuelan accent/dialect) and have a hard time understanding the Mexican dialect (especially the northern Mexican one, which is the equivalent of our Southern accent, really thick.)
