I think it's more of an "out east" thing in Canada (i.e. Quebec and Ontario) than in other parts of the country. Mind you, Winnipeg, Manitoba has a hood called St. Boniface, and they have the largest French speaking community in Canada outside of the province of Quebec. But that is another story...

Monster in Law, we used to have pizza in Canadian McDonalds a while ago (like 10 years ago) but they are no more. Also, we do have veggie burgers (the patties are from
this place and you know what, they are not half bad...). There is also the "Lighter Choices" menu that has salads that are really quite tasty, light wraps, that kind of thing.
