Water is an important part of your system. If you don't get enough then you will not be regular, or have painful BM. But as most people get a good amount of water through the foods they eat FIBER is what most people need to concentrate on to stay regular. Water is a health necessity, but replacing meals with water and lemon is just dangerous (and lemon is a mild diuretic, which kinda undoes the point of drinking some of that water IMO, but sometimes people can't drink all they need to without it, so I suppose it's a trade-off).
I have seen people fast for spiritual reasons before, just not for a month. I still say talk to your doctor first! Talk to him about this before making a decision. At the very least I would assume you would need to stock up on nutritional supplements and he could let you know what to look out for. Make sure you have a good multivitamin supplement and I would probably pick up a protein and fiber supplement as well, since by missing out on half of your meals for the day you'll be missing out on all that essential nutrition.
Maybe instead of eating fruit (which is really high in sugar) you could have a meal replacement shake (NOT SLIMFAST!!! NO HOLLYWOOD DIET JUICE!!! NOTHING THAT THEY SELL IN DUANE READE OR RITE AID!!! NOT ANYTHING WITH MORE THAN 10g of SUGAR!! NOT ANYTHING THAT HAS FRUCTOSE IN THE LIST OF INGREDIENTS!!!). Trust me, although they're called meal replacements, they don't come close to replacing actual food, and I doubt they would contradict the intent of your spiritual fast, lol.
Shopping suggestions:
A VISIT TO YOUR DOCTOR
Fiber One Cereal (14g per serving, althought it tastes like dust you might need it) OR Benefiber (tasteless, fairly grit-free supplement, can be added to drinks for increased fiber intake, 3g of fiber per serving)
one soy/egg/whey/casein meal replacement protein supplement- there are tons of these on the market, just don't buy one with a huge amount of sugar
one whey protein supplement for after your workouts (a better body is really 75% about your eating habits for most people)
Vitamins: a multivitamin, a vitamin B supplement, a vitamin C supplement, a Calcium supplement
I don't like the idea of fasting. I know you want to do it for spiritual reasons, but I think that eating that way for an extended period of time could be dangerous. But if you absolutely feel that you must, be safe going about it.

Thanks LovelyIvy!! I drink plenty of water...yesterday alone, I had 16 cups of water. I don't put lemon in my water everytime I drink it. Just in the morning. But I will try those supplements. Thanks for looking out for me!
I'S LUV YA!!!
