i say you are really passionate about this topic.
now, the show that you are talking about it called queer as folk. i find it quite interesting but i am what most people in this ignorant world called a "queer" i don't agree with the word because there is nothing queer about being gay except personalities.

i don't understand how homosexuality is being shoved down your throat. i could say that heterosexuality is shoved down my throat but then i would be wrong because that is what is considered normal. i think too long the topic of homosexuality has been dormant (sp?) so long that when characters are shown on tv, they are shown sexless which is not the case, hence... will and grace, ellen, among other shows.
The show stars all homosexual people all in there twenties, and according to the article the show has very pornagraphic sex scenes among the cast, I mean the show is supposed to be so raw that there was a list of designers including Polo, Tommy, Versace, that refused to allow any of their merchandise on the show, not only that the NFL asked that they not mention any of its teams in the show either. How far will things go? Its bad enough that we can not even hardly watch a simple tv commercial with out seeing sexual things going on but now they have devoted an entire show to homsexual sex lives.
well, the show is shown on sundays at 10 in the evening. that would be a sufficient time to air shows with raw themes because at that time children are suppose to be in bed.
also, still i see nothing with airing a show about homosexual lives...heterosexuals do it everyday.
I just do not like the idea of my kids being able to access a show such as this. I would never ever want my kids to think that they have a choice when it comes to choosing a mate. Regardless of what peoplse say about sex before marriage or unwed pregancies, they do come out of a humans "natural" feeling to have sex with the opposite sex, we may not always do it in the right fashion nor wisely but it is still very natural for a man and a woman to have sex and procreate..........there is nothing natural about homosexuality, procreation is not possible and procreation is our purpose. I think it is sick and to much for the media to glorify these acts and continue to push this mess in our faces. If people want to be gay then go ahead but keep it to yourself.

i am sure nobody wants their child to be gay or lesbian. but it happens and there are several children and teens that hide in the closet, that are scared to talk to their parents and friends because of what people think and even commit suicide. that is the most terrible feeling. the media is not glorifying the act but letting people know that is does exist and sometimes the media even works against us by creating the thoughts in people heads about how homosexuals live and how premiscuious (sp)homosexuals are when in reality heterosexuals are just as premiscuious(sp). that is almost like saying AIDs is for gays...
mean what do you tell a child when hes flipping through the tv and he sees to young men embraced in a tongue kiss? "oh honey they are in love and when you get old enough to choose a mate you have the choice to either choose a man or a woman".
that is something you should explain to your child, because the worst thing in the world to bring your child up on ignorance. It is your duty as a parent to explain the different between heterosexual and homosexuals. sometimes in their lives they are gonna confront someone who is homosexual. and no matter what you say your child does have a choice and will be exposed it. they will come across it in topics in school, some ignorant person will use the word fag or dyke , they might have a friend that might confide in them about their sexuality, they will have someone influential in their lives that might be gay or lesbian or or....i will leave that alone...
i see nothing wrong with the sexual contents of the show since it's on cable when we have commericals and regular shows on primetime that are as just explicit.
that is my $1913 dollars worth for today...
