You will not believe this, but back when I was just barely sweet 16 (literally -- I met him two days after my sixteenth birthday) I had a crush on the 20-year-old (maybe 21? either way sketchy) lead singer of a local band who used to dedicate songs for me at their shows to try to get me to sleep with him. It never worked but I was so Madly In Love with him in that teenage way and I used to put many many CD tracks on repeat because they reminded me of him, of which "Falling for You" was one. Along with "Alternative, Baby" by Reel Big Fish and many others which I have forgotten. Actually, I got Pinkerton for my sixteenth birthday and thus nearly every song on that CD reminds me of some bizarre crush or screwed up relationship I had when I was sixteen.
That just brought back gut-wrenching adolescent memories in WAVES. Thanks, bitch.
So this one is in memory of Jimmy, even though he will never ever end up on GC for any reason.
P.S. And he went to Marquette too! -- at least until he dropped out two classes short of a double major in English and philosophy.
