I've been on WW since mid-October and have lost about 15lbs. It's all about portion control.
You basically can eat anything you want, just in small portions. You figure out the points, and go from there. If you know you'll want pizza for dinner, eat very light the rest of the day.
It's MUCH less restrictive than Atkins in terms of the types of food, but not in the terms of amounts of food. The key is to find low point foods that you can fill up on. I don't like most veggies, so I just end up a bit hungry if I reach my points limit. To me, that's better than raw celery. ick.
Good luck. I joined and got the info and never went back. If you thinkn you need the meetings, great, but I didn't want to pay for them AND have somewhere to go every week, lest I be penalized.
