I ate at one of my fave restaurants (cuz they have one in Atlanta I enjoy as well) -- GORDON BIERSCH! as well as one of the Mexican Restaurants in Old Town (something Popal -- it was good!) and shopped at Fashion Valley (way too many after Xmas shoppers there!)
Gordon Biersch would get my vote (if I were still in San Diego) as it is big, yummy and easily accessible!

I wish I had remembered you were coming down this way....some of the GCers who live here year round would've probably enjoyed getting together with you!
A lot of the San Diegan GCers were out of town over the holidays because a good majority of them are still in school, so I think they were all spending the holidays elsewhere. Next time you come down this way, though, we'll
definitely have to plan a get-together!
