I think this whole 'the public has a right to know' movement is going to get us on a very slippery slope. Bush (and I am NOT a fan!) has given limited information about his past alcohol problems and that is really good enough for me. Plus this incident was 20 plus years ago! Negotiator, I beg to differ about no one bringing it up. For what ever reason no one knew about it until this week. The media hsn't been able to get enough of it since then. I heard a reporter ask Bush how many beers he had that night! Give me a break! How many of you remember how many drinks you had (not to say anyone was drunk) at homecoming last year? At what point is our past truly our past? Plus, is seems that only the wealthy (those who can afford to add a million dollars or more to their campaign chest) can run for local and state wide races. At the rate we are going, a person would have to be a millionaire saint to get elected president.
