Tax software: I like TurboTax personally, but I haven't tried anything else.
W2 forms: Have to be mailed by your employer by Jan. 31. I doubt that they'd be ready yet. You just got the book/instructions/forms from the government. If you don't have a W2 from the school by the first week in Feb, then call them and find out what the deal is.
