Hey Ladies:

While it is not the norm for these types of events to happen I do think that waaaaaay back in the day things that we would deem abnormal may have occurred.

I say this because my mom and my 4 aunts (having pledged in the early 50's...sorry for the old heads for saying waaaaaaay), all of which are DST, except one who is a Zeta stated that at their college, an HBCU, the women in the sorority showed interest in "certain" women, versus you showing interest in them. I am sure that there was a mixture of both...women who were invited to events and "courted" (for lack of a better word) and those who had to jock to get on line. Anywho, my mother said that during these times, it wasn't abnormal to be "courted" by perhaps two orgs., as well as to accept invitation (not formal invitation but perhaps to attend events and things) from more than one. Obviously, eventually the "courtee" made the decision as to which one was the best fit based on service, campus programming, etc. and made this known either by foregoing further invitations by the org. not chosen or cranking up the obvious interest in the org. chosen. This didn't happen all the time but if a sistah was hella tight, 4.0 G.P.A., service, all around BOMB, then it wasn't unheard of.

This is the closest I have seen the original question even be seemingly applicable besides the "I transferred to XYZ school from ABC" issue.

I also agree that making the databses of the four BGLO sororities is the only remedy against the B.S.

Just my $19.13...
