Tau Kappa Epsilon
We used to have KD and ZTA, but but closed I think because of numbers, though I'm not really sure. I think that was probably back in the 80's. We also had Sig Ep but they were closed a few years ago because of hazing.
I think it'd be cool to have KD and ZTA here again...although I don't see it happening because one of the sororities never makes quota.
Also, here in the music department, we used to have Kappa Kappa Psi that was shut down back around 98 or 99 because of a lot of different things. Although, I don't see them recolonizing because the TBS chapter is coed, so there's not really a need for KKY. Plus having KKY, as selfish as this sounds, would probably make for smaller new member classes for us, Phi Mu Alpha, and TBS. And we're in the stages of building our numbers right now, so we want as little competition as possible. LOL!
I also read in Baird's that we used to have Phi Beta, the coed professional arts fraternity. I must admit, I would really like to see them come back, because I know nationally Phi Beta is struggling right now, and they only have maybe 4 or 5 active college chapters left. I think the idea of Phi Beta is awesome...maybe some people will get interested some day and bring them back.
