There is no FAST way to lose weight, you'll destroy your metabolism. It's not healthy mentally, physically, or emotionally to lose weight for an occassion. Lose weight for YOU.
Start working out. If you don't already work out, try something light like walking everyday. Maybe lifting some weights. Cut the sugar and fatty foods out of your diet (You know the stuff we all love). Don't eat after 8:00 p.m. Drink lots of water. You'll be in the bathroom all the time, but it's worth it. Don't starve yourself, continue to eat three meals each day. Just eat smaller portions. If your are hungry between meals, eat rabbit food (carrots, celery, fruit, etc.)
In the meantime, as long as you buy the right type of outfit, I'm sure you'll be the bomb. Pay close attention to color, design, and cut of the outfit. Buy an oufit that exudes confidence, not a woman who is trying to impress a man that you no longer have. If you are really content on looking different, try a different hairstyle or change the way you wear your make-up (if applicable).
You are already the bomb with or without the extra thirty pounds and don't forget it. 
God made us into beautiful, voluptuous, black women, enjoy the GIFT. Concentrate on getting fit and being healthy.
