Weed doesn't make people jerks. This guy was a jerk to begin with. Now he's just a jerk that smokes up. He's still a jerk.
Call the neighbors to apoligize and explain the situation and then tip them off to the upcoming party. Then they will call the police if they feel neccecarry. Also, I would find a lawyer.
