I couldn't tell you. I'm not a moderator of Chit Chat and I didn't delete the other threads in question.
I'm not saying that it was right because it's not but the fact is that it happened and arguing about it further will not bring the threads back.
Maybe the Random thread will be deleted along with other "post-padding" posts, but again I'm not sure because I'm not a Chit Chat moderator.
