It's definately frustrating at times..you can't ignore every single generalisation or down-right blatant racial/ religious insult that come out of supposedly educated people's mouth (as subtle as it may be). To be honest with you, I get irritated when people of my own race and/or religion make the typical stereotypical comments towards other races. I consider myself a tolerant person because I was home-trained...but I wonder if other americans take the time to think about the stuff they say sometimes.
In any case, you learn to ignore the ignorant!
