Admittedly it wasn't a scientific poll, but a public opinion poll, conducted by interviewing people on the street. I have no idea who they asked, or the exact phrasing of the question.

That's a good point. But actually I was thinking about how Bush lost the popular vote in 2000 which means more people who voted actually wanted somebody not him. Also Bush set the record for having the most people protest against him worldwide in one day. Now
that's an accomplishment!
