Taken from Working Woman Magazine (June 2000 edition):

Do you know an exceptional girl, ages 12 to 16, who sets her sights high and is on the way to achieving her goals? Tell us her story and she could win a $15,000 college scholarship. In 1,000 or fewer words, answer one or more of the following questions, explaining why she deserves the Girls Going
Places award:

How does she make a difference in her school, her community, or people's lives?

How has she shown budding entrepreneurship or financial sense? What concrete accomplishments has she achieved, revealing her determination to excel?

Entries are due Sept. 1, 2000.

In November, the 15 finalists will be honored at an awards ceremony, and their stories will be in the December/January 2001 issue of Working Woman.
